Investment properties
Build a rental from the ground up.
Many construction loan programs are only for homes you'll live in. This one also covers investment properties, so you can build a rental or a property to hold with one loan and one closing.
Why investors build
New, and built for renters
New construction usually needs less work in its first years than an older home, and you choose a layout renters want. Building also lets you add a property where good rentals are hard to find for sale.
How it works for investors
- One application, one approval and one closing covers the build and the mortgage.
- Qualifying is full documentation. Assets can also be used as qualifying income.
- Draws are paid directly to your builder as work is verified.
- When construction ends, the loan converts to a long-term mortgage with 3/1, 5/1 or 10/1 adjustable-rate options.
